Franky’s Is Open!

In late October 2024, we proudly opened the doors to Franky's Pizza & Delicatessen, at long last bringing a fresh and exciting dining experience and vision to life, right here in Warren, Ohio. Franky's is the latest chapter in our journey of sharing great food with our community. Building on the success of Cockeye BBQ and Cockeye Creamery, we’re thrilled to introduce a neighborhood corner pizza shop that’s all about quality, craftsmanship, and, of course, flavor.
Franky’s is all about celebrating the best of Sicilian-style pizza and Italian specialties. When we say our pizza is something special, we mean it. Our bakers are in the building before 6AM to prep dough made fresh every day on-site at Franky's. Our pies are a unique blend of New York and Mahoning Valley styles — lofty, light, and crispy with every bite. Beyond the pizza, we’re proud to offer scratch-made sandwiches on our 'Paffuto' rolls, a variety of classic pizza shop accompaniments, and a menu that’s built around fresh, high-quality ingredients.
We do things the right way in our family: Franky's makes its own hot peppers in oil. The roast beef for our 'Raging Bull' sandwich is done in-house; same with our sauces, spice blends and (of course) pizza dough. One of our most exciting plans for Franky's future involves producing other traditional Italian meats like Capicola and Mortadella in-house, which we think will elevate our sandwiches to something truly unforgettable.
The response from the community has been beyond anything we could have imagined. Since opening, we’ve been doing our best to manage demand while learning our own processes and systems. We've sold hundreds of pizzas sandwiches every day since opening and we’re so grateful for the support and enthusiasm from all of you.
We hacked through some challenging days in our first eight weeks, including a collegiate-sized football Saturday problem for our kitchen, running a bakery in winter conditions, and selling out before being unable to serve our guests later in the afternoons. Our little kitchen and its staff still 'has their training wheels on,' and there are still some kinks to work out before we can think about anything like delivery or catering for the business.
We’re open Wednesday through Sunday starting at 11 a.m., and we serve until we sell out, which has been happening less and less around here as learn to manage demand — a testament to the love you’ve shown for what we’re creating here at Franky’s.
What’s most important to us is that Franky’s feels like home. We want it to be a place where families gather (around a pizza box, that is), young chefs learn to cook (the right way), friends catch up, and everyone can enjoy great food made with care and passion. That’s been our goal with all our ventures, whether it’s with barbecue, with ice cream, or now, with pizza and deli sandwiches.
