At long last… Franky’s is open! Read our newest blog post about our first few weeks in business.

WARREN — The moment Ben Hoover stepped inside the vacant building at 125 Scott St. NE downtown, he said he instantly knew it was where he would launch his restaurant.

Stay out of the kitchen as we get ready for Thanksgiving - And grab some pizza or fresh deli sandwich at a new spot in Warren.

Also announced to be ready by early September is Franky's Pizza & Delicatessen which will be located on the corner of North Park and Scott Street.

Franky’s Pizza will be the Hoovers’ first foray into pizza, but the decision was a natural one for them.

“It’s a market where Italian food has such a strong foothold and is so important to our community,” Ben Hoover said.

The family behind Cockeye Barbeque & Creamery is planning on opening a new eatery in Warren.

Work is underway to transform a building in Warren into Franky’s Pizza & Delicatessen. Owner Benjamin Hoover says Franky’s will be a neighborhood pizzeria, Italian specialty deli and grocery.

“You know it’s a bit of a food desert on Scott Street where we’re at. I’m hoping to kind of blend just having food there for the community, as in you can walk in and purchase produce, you can purchase dried pastas, you can purchase olive oils, and then more specialty stuff,” said Hoover.

So we’ve been driving past 125 Scott for a while now, and really started to think about bringing this one back to life. When we had a chance to walk through it, we were in love and want to bring our pizzeria and deli concept to life.
